Tiger Milk Mushroom planted in Baisha area is mainly distributed in the shade of rubber trees. This fungus has the characteristic of shade-tolerant biology, which is especially suitable for the forest planting mode. According to statistics, the area of forest edible fungus cultivation in Baisha County has reached 13,200 mu (about 880 hectares), with an annual output value of 155 million RMB, creating an average of about 190 fixed jobs and more than 90,000 seasonal temporary jobs.
The Tiger Milk mushroom fungus packs can be cultivated in two seasons per year, with a single-season growth cycle of 5 months. The initial investment per mu (about 0.067 hectares) in the first season is about RMB 10,000, with an average fresh product yield of 1,500 pounds (about 750 kilograms), and an output value per unit area of up to RMB 30,000 based on the benchmark market price of RMB 20/catty.

The operating body adopts the “rubber forest + edible fungus” composite cultivation system, and innovatively implements the tripartite collaboration mechanism of “government-enterprise-village collective” in Qingsong Township, and has built a core planting area with a total area of 7,700 mu (about 513 hectares) in five administrative villages such as Yijiao, Taisong, Congshu, Qingsong, and Yazhuang.
In the current cooperation program, growers purchase standardized mushroom packs from the enterprise for cultivation, and the enterprise provides full technical guidance and implements a guaranteed price recovery mechanism for the products. Fresh products that meet the harvesting standards are uniformly settled at a guaranteed purchase price of RMB 20/catty.
